From the recording You Are a Witch in Pretty Skin

"You Are a Witch in Pretty Skin" takes the adage of "beauty's only skin deep" to a whole new level.  This song first appeared on the cassette version of Gasp! and then was also included on my audio book CD, Until Death Do Impart.  Co-written by A. J. Curtis, "Witch" was performed by the rock band ShadowFox.

Lyrics

YOU ARE A WITCH IN PRETTY SKIN

The hands of all your clocks are broke
And those you set turn into smoke
You tarnish every star that shines
Your arms are poison ivy vines

You are a witch
A witch in pretty skin
You're eyes set fire to all you see
But, baby, you ain't burnin' me

Your heart's a giant wrecking ball
Your conversation is a squall
Your smile grows mold on all it touches
Cats and crows are in your clutches

You are a witch
A witch in pretty skin
Your eyes set fire to all you see
But, baby, you ain't burnin' me

Your mini skirt commits a crime
Your hips create an evil rhyme
But though you're foxy, smooth, and sleek
With witchery your perfume reeks

You are a witch
A witch in pretty skin
Your eyes set fire to all you see
But, baby, you ain't burnin' me
Your eyes set fire to all you see
But, baby, you ain't burnin' me

You are a witch
A witch in pretty skin
Perverting love, love, love
Into a sin
